Smoke Grey is obtained from Anchusa Officinalis, a beautiful plant with blue flowers which produces a great deal of nectar for pollinators. The name Anchusa is derived from the Greek anchousa, paint, because of its use as a dye. Together with Alkanet, it is a principal blue dye apart from indigo.

We use Smoke Grey dyestuff to obtain a vibrant grey which consists of a multitude of hues depending on the sunlight.
